Aspen Crossing 2016 Summer Wrap Up

September 22, 2016

Well another summer season has come and gone.

Today is the first day of Fall, we bid a fond farewell to the end of our Spring/Summer tours but, we are equally excited for our Fall/Winter season with the wonderful train experiences yet in store for all of you.

Summer Reflections

This past season marked a successful second year for the Aspen Crossing Railway. With an additional 5 new tours added this year, we had so much fun and judging by your feedback, all of you did as well!

Our High Tea was a huge success and we’ll be adding additional runs for the 2017 season to accommodate your many requests.

Our Circus Train once again delighted young and old alike. Thanks in many parts to Trixtan Entertainment and the Guns of the Golden West. Kids of all ages thrilled to the fun or our Circus Extravaganza.

We had some great Wines and Ales featured aboard our Wine & Cheese and Ales on Rails tours with special promotions provided by Big Sky Beer Wine & Spirits, BRAUEREI FAHR Brewery, Chinook Honey Mead, and Canmore Wine Merchants to name a few.

We were delighted over the success of our newly added Twilight Tour, which proved to be a very popular date night for many of you. Capturing glimpses of the Northern Lights was a bonus highlight of this romantic and entertaining experience along with our talented musicians that had everyone joining in, singing old and new favourites! On the last Twilight Tour of the season, we all got to see the famed Harvest Moon!

So What’s Up Next?

Well Pumpkins … Aspen Crossing is proud to present a truly unique Halloween Train Haunt experience!

Starting October 8th through October 30th, The Train of Terror is an interactive spooktacular train ride experience that will have people chilled, thrilled, electrified and terrified. Train riders will have to carefully make their way through two haunted rail cars, while the train moves down the track. This Halloween Haunt has many twists, turns and horrifying surprises, but those who make it through will find a Halloween party on the other side!

Aspen Crossing’s Magical End to 2016

For the second year in a row, Aspen Crossing is humbled and honoured to have the opportunity to kick off the holiday season with the inaugural run of The Polar Express™ Train Ride, beginning November 24th for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation. This is our gift to them along with Rail Events Inc.

This year, over 100 brave families will get to experience the importance of “Believing” when they take a magical journey to the North Pole. During the journey, dancing waiters will serve hot chocolate and cookies to every one while singing holiday songs. Once the train reaches the North Pole, Santa will board the train and present everyone with the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell.

Our summer riders were given an advance opportunity to purchase tickets for The Polar Express™ in mid August, then our email subscribers were given the opportunity to do the same.

Tickets for this magical journey are at 50% sold, so if you are looking to do something extraordinary with family and friends this holiday season, coordinate your pajama’s and book your tickets now! See select dates starting November 25th through December 24th.

Stay Tuned for 2017

Look for some fantastic changes this Fall; like our new 2017 Train Excursion Schedule. That way you’ll be able to start and make plans for your summer fun. Our campground will also be online so you can now coordinate your camping and train tours all in one single purchase at your convenience. Even late at night!

Of course, we’re always here in the daytime to answer any questions and provide assistance when you require it.
So we here at Aspen Crossing have decreed that 2017 is going to be a great year, with you in it!
