This El Nino year has certainly produced a very mild winter for us here in the Southern Alberta prairies! And for many of us, it means getting back outdoors sooner, than later!
Our campground is filling up fast with reservations starting as early as Easter Weekend! This warm weather has everyone itching to shed off winter, to eagerly embrace the warm prelude of a promising summer!
Here at Aspen Crossing, our train of thoughts had us travelling to various Gift Shows in search of those one of a kind treasures you’ve all come to expect! From home decor to creating delectable meals with some fabulous secret spices, you’ll delight in all there is to see, when we re-open April 1st!

Our 1887 Pullman Dining Car underwent a transformation with expanded seating capacity for 52! Don’t forget to book your reservations for our Sunday Brunch every Sunday!
Our Station Gift Store has undergone some renovations as well, which means we’ll be able to assist you better! And there’s more great finds to hunt for!
Work is underway in the greenhouses in preparation for our Annual Mother’s Day hanging baskets and bedding plants sale! Don’t miss our 2 for 1 hanging basket event this Mother’s Day!
Everyone knows that February is the month of Love and Romance, and on February 13th, our very own chef celebrated his nuptials right here at Aspen Crossing, where it all began! Speaking of weddings, we were also part of a wedding feature in Calgary Bride as the venue. Currently we have 4 weddings booked for the 2016 season, so love is definitely in the air! And who wouldn’t want to celebrate an anniversary in glamping style in one of our Caboose Cabins!
As for the Aspen Crossing Railway, we’ve added 5 new train excursions, bringing the total to 12 different themes for families and friends to choose from! Creating treasured memories is so important! Remember, “it’s not about the destination, it’s all about the journey!”
