A Little Bit of Country & Some Good Old Rock n’ Roll!
Aspen Crossing is proud to sponsor the 3rd Annual SOUTHERN ALBERTA MUSIC FESTIVAL.
Southern Alberta Music Festival came together 3 years ago in a valiant effort to help raise funds for flood stricken victims in High River. It was a great way for neighbours and friends to come together, have some fun and relieve some extreme stress, if only for a weekend.
As a result of a fabulous turn out and the support of many communities, Southern Alberta Music Festival decided that perhaps this could be an annual event. With a lot of local talent that are on the rise, everyone could ‘band’ together for a worthy cause!
This year’s festival is hoping to raise not only some much needed funds, but to also help raise awareness of those that serve at STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service). They are a non-profit organization that offers time, hope and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients.
In fact, according to STARS Alberta, “1,839 missions were flown during the 2014-15 fiscal year from our bases in Calgary, Edmonton and Grande Prairie and include some BC communities.”
“With STARS, those living in rural communities, working in remote areas, travelling on highways or being transported from community hospitals to major medical centres, receive the very best in critical care in helicopters staffed and outfitted as mobile ICUs.’
Wondering who’s in this year’s line up? Here’s a sneak peek:
