Aspen Crossing Railway- Coming Soon!

Aspen Crossing has come to be known by its customers as the oasis of the prairies. What started as a stubble field on a family farm has transformed into an award winning destination. This country getaway showcases the century old connection between horticulture and the railroad. Customers gather with friends and family to enjoy the unique attractions such as the beautifully treed, full service campground complete with caboose cabins, or to dine in the restored 1887 Pullman railcar which was once the private business car of former Prime Minister John Diefenbaker. Just a few steps away is the station, with its quaint gift shop full of one of a kind treasures and attached greenhouses bursting with colour during the spring season.

Soon, Aspen CRossing Railway ticket holders will get to enjoy serene prairie views of the 28 mile round trip, while the rocking back and forth with the sounds of the rail providing a relaxing atmosphere, taking one back to a simpler time. Guests will pass historic wooden elevators, while learning first hand about agriculture and the railroad.

A variety of trips will be offered including, special event trains, such as sunset, star gazing, elevator tours, wine tasting, or enjoy a scrumptious dinner theatre, where the railcars become the stage. Imagine while you’re enjoying the prairies your peaceful musings are suddenly shattered by a masked man shouting and waving a gun. Yes, you are caught-up in a realistic train robbery.

Trains will run from May-September, as well as special occasions, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Keep checking the website for schedules and availability!
