Here at Aspen Crossing we are following the Health Guidelines. We will still have our regular business hours but our services have slightly changed, to ensure public safety.
The Retail Centre is open to the public. Hours are 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week. Hot water and soap are available in the bathrooms and sanitizer is located at the store entrance and exit. Feel free to shop the entire store. Yellow footprints are on the floor to show what 6 foot spacing looks like. Limited capacity is enforced.
The Tavern is open for Dine In services, we have made some changes to help keep guests and staff safe. Some of the changes you might notice are;
Patrons are asked to sanitize hands upon entry to the dining facility.
We have removed a number of tables to allow for social distancing.
Single household at table.
Condiments will be served in single use packets.
Menus are laminated so they can be wiped down after every use.
We wipe down table & chairs after each customers departure with a cleaning & disinfectant solution.
We have added an extra dining room to assist with further social distancing of groups.
The patio is open and closed in but also follows the interior dining rules.
Staff will wear face coverings. Guests may choose to do this, but it is not required.
Staff temperature will be taking at the beginning of each shift.
High touchpoint areas are sanitized frequently.
Take-Out is still available, we ask that social distancing be observed while waiting to pick up.
Take-Out & Liquor Off-Sales are also available.
The delectable menu is available to you for nights you don't want to cook or if you are staying in the campground or want to come in and have us serve you. Proper physical distancing is mandatory at Aspen Crossing and that includes when waiting for take out.
All guests are still asked to wash hands with soap and water upon entering the facility. Tables are spaced apart by at least 6 feet and we have three rooms plus the patio for you to choose from. Staff will continue to wear gloves when handling and packaging food. Sanitizer is available in various locations throughout the establishment. Guest(s) exhibiting any signs of any illness or feeling ill are asked not to dine in or use take out services. You can always call ahead for pick up. 1-403-534-2129. Our menu is online.
The Dining Car is closed.
Caboose Cabins are available and have being given complete sanitary, white glove service. We've added special attention to all touch points, ie: door knobs, remote, light switches, etc. Please call to reserve.
The Polar Express™ Train Ride cannot take place as scheduled on the account of implementation of public health orders by the Province of Alberta restricting certain mass gatherings and mandating certain business and workplace closures to protect Albertans’ health and limit the spread of COVID-19.
We know you are as disappointed as we are that this fabulous event will be postponed until 2021.
The Terms & Conditions emphasize that sales of train tickets are final, and customers do not have the option to cancel a sold ticket for a refund. Those Terms also emphasize train tours may be delayed by a number of causes that easily include delays caused by public health orders. However, we are trying to go above and beyond for our clients by offering two options. First is to rebook tickets on the 2021 Polar Express™ Train Ride or receive Aspen credit for the complete purchase price (including fees and royalties we have already paid). This credit is in the form of a fully transferable gift card that does not expire. We join corporations like West Jet, Stage West, Rocky Mountaineer, Calgary Stampeders, Jubilations and more offering credits to their guests.
These credits may be used for anything at Aspen Crossing; dining, camping, caboose cabins, merchandise (including Polar Express™ merchandise), train excursions, garden centre, greenhouses, events, festivals, private functions, etc. This is a valuable extension of the Terms and allows us to offer a second option to customers.
You may use them as soon as you receive them, they can be used over the phone or in person. They are treated like cash on Aspen Crossing grounds. You can also request different denominations to be able to transfer to friends or family. We can put together Polar Express gift boxes for you, just let our staff know ages and sizes. We can wrap and ship from the retail store. Let us know if you’re using the caboose cabins and we can ensure personalized golden tickets, bells and mugs are waiting for your arrival. We can also set up private events for your household.
